31 Xplore Design Week is the annual radical design experience organized by the Department of Product Development at the Faculty of Design Sciences. Xplore Design Week is part of the International Design Workshop week (IDW) and combines in-depth workshops with lectures and activities for and by students. Xplore Design Week specifically targets bachelor students (2nd and 3rd year) of product development and aims to explore and/or deepen innovative or alternative design skills and techniques. Several workshops are organized by national and international guest tutors. Students choose one of the workshops based on an abstract and commit to a week of intensive group research and design. During this week, we create an active and open learning environment with room for radical pedagogical approaches in which students work on daily outputs and/ or work towards a final product to be exhibited during the final exhibition.
